Kelvin Kiley Legislation Issues
Freedom of Speech at our Universities
Kiley Kelvin released a statement that responds to the 2017 Speech Code Publication that advocates for Individual Rights in Education. Kelvin in advocating for freedom of speech to university students (https://icmspubcontact.lc.ca.gov>jan). He is working with the campus administrators, students and faculties and all other key stakeholders to make sure our universities and college allow students to have the diversity of thoughts and to offer them a free exchange of ideas. I wholeheartedly agree with what Kelvin is pushing for considering the input our young people can have on state development contributions. If this Bill passes to be a Law the students who form the most significant percentage of the youths will have an opportunity to freely express their ideas and opinions on different issues affecting them and the state at large.
Following the legalization of Medicinal Cannabis, Kelvin is pushing for a Bill that will help ensure that there are no cases on drugged drivers by allowing traffic police to test for drug level just like they do with alcoholic drivers. I agree with his push for this Bill since marijuana at some stage especially if overused without the doctor's prescription can result in impairment which is dangerous for drivers. This Bill is appropriate as it will help control drugged driving accidents.
